About Us
Since he started in farm practice Rob Drysdale has been recognized as one of the main drivers for change in the way UK vets work with their customers. His vision has always been to offer the highest quality veterinary services and consultancy divested from medicine sales. This belief has now led to the founding of Ruminant Health Solutions in 2021.

Rob now leads a vet team with over 50 years’ experience between them. Our vets only work with professional livestock farmers and their staff. We offer a broad range of services to include (where appropriate) medicine prescribing, yet all the while keeping the cost of services separated from the actual medicine sales.

The farming industry has evolved over the last twenty years: we believe our practice represents the next step in the evolution of livestock vets. We still offer the usual 24hr emergency care, fertility scanning and udder health advice, but in addition to this, we are more often found undertaking whole herd or flock consultancy, health planning, and building a team approach to disease management. Although based on the economics of production we recognize the health and welfare of the stock must always come first!

This model has proven very popular with farmers across our practice areas, with our transparent approach seeing the business grow from strength to strength.

We have vets that have special interests and further qualifications in various areas of production animal practice:

-
Youngstock health – from calving to calving.
-
Fertility and reproduction – in dairy, beef and sheep.
-
Milk quality and udder health.
-
Building design and animal comfort.
-
Sheep flock health – from flock management through to store lambs.
-
Beef cattle health – from suckler herds through to large scale feedlot finishers.
-
Dairy-beef and calf rearing – advice and planning from calf health to economics.
-
Grazing, managing grassland and forage production – to include experience of maximizing silages, regenerative practices and through to intensive techno systems.
-
Growing and fattening advice – sheep, beef and dairy stock.

We now have offices based in Warnham, West Sussex and Hatherleigh, Devon where our teams cover the South East and South West of England.
